Here’s how you can save big when changing your doors and windows!
Did you know? A lot of Quebecers have gotten financial assistance for their renovation projects. Why not take advantage yourself?
The Government of Quebec’s Rénoclimat program, that was updated on May 1st, 2024 (increased grant amounts), supports Quebecers for energy-efficient renovations. The aim should be to reduce your energy consumption while increasing your comfort at home. And the good news - this program includes the replacement of doors and windows!
How does it work? Visit theRénoclimat website for more details on eligibility and the most up-to-date information - or here’s a summary: The program offers $150 per rough opening, with the criteria that the door or window must be ENERGY STAR certified (like the majority of our products!) and the new door or window must be installed in an existing rough opening. The program excludes the replacement of garage doors and windows.
Keep in mind that the program’s objective is to reduce energy consumption. Minor retrofits that don’t sufficiently improve the EnerGuide rating of your home, for example changing only a few windows, could be refused by the program.
Check out theRénoclimat Applicant’s Guide to understand how the program works. Important: remember to keep the ENERGY STAR stickers and your invoices to show the energy advisor when they visit to evaluate your project.
